Disnat launches new online brokerage trading platform to meet the expectations of well informed investors

    Disnat's new website offers more seamless navigation, access to a wide
    range of financial products and a variety of new information tools for
    enhanced decision-making

    MONTREAL, Sept. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Disnat is pleased to announce the
launch of its new online trading platform that offers investors multiple
advantages. This website will be online as of September 25, 2007.
    "Our objective is to provide investors with a simple, user-friendly,
high-performance trading platform, which is capable of meeting investors'
highest expectations. Increasingly knowledgeable, self-directed investors
expect to be backed by an online broker who understands their needs and
provides the trading environment and information tools that will enable them
to make quick and informed decisions. These expectations have guided the
development of our new fully integrated trading platform website," said
Mr. Frédéric Paquette, Vice-President and General Manager of Disnat Online
    Before designing its new trading site, Disnat first carried out a number
of consultations, particularly with its clients. It also conducted a
comparative analysis of the various platforms currently available in Canada,
the United States and Europe.
    "Our clients wish to trade a wide range of financial products and
vehicles. They want information on their trades and investment portfolio to be
easy to consult and updated regularly. They are also looking for real-time
access to all relevant stock market activity data and indicators, particularly
by creating a personalized stock tracking list. In addition, access to
credible internal or third-party information sources that provide insight on
stock market conditions and trends is another key investor expectation. All
these features must be offered via simple, user-friendly tools. These are the
the challenges we have met with the development of our new trading platform,"
said Mr. Paquette.

    Significant enhancements

    The site includes several enhancements aimed at creating an integrated
and user-friendly environment for investors.

    Among these enhancements are:

    - Easier access to information sought (fewer clicks to find it);

    - Left-side menu can be minimized or maximized according to the user's
      needs. It also provides anytime access to an action menu that allows
      the user to make a transaction or obtain information on a stock, no
      matter where they are on the site;

    - Opportunity to trade all product types (including bonds and mutual
      funds), to verify account statements (including cash balance), to
      access real-time information about the market and ability to track
      orders - all without changing pages;

    - Improved access to, and better visibility of Desjardins Securities'
      research service;

    - Access to Recognia, a technical analysis tool (in French and English);

    - Access to research reports on more than 1,900 U.S. stocks followed by
      Morningstar analysts (beginning November 2007);

    - Groups together complementary functions in same section;

    - Livelier colors;

    - Access to recorded seminars from Disnat University.

    "Disnat, which is celebrating 25 years in business this year, has
developed a first-rate stock market trading and real-time information tool,
offering state-of-the-art technological features. With this launch, Disnat is
strengthening its position as a leader in its business sector and reaffirming
what has been the secret of its success throughout the past 25 years -
providing clients with the best trading environment available on the market,"
concluded Mr. Paquette.
