HALIFAX, Feb. 10 /CNW/ - DHX Media Ltd (AIM & TSX ticker: "DHX"), a
leading independent international producer and distributor of television
programming and interactive content, is pleased to announce a licensing
agreement between its DECODE Enterprises distribution subsidiary and the
Disney Channels in Southeast Asia and Latin America for its new television
series, Mighty Jungle. Disney Channel Southeast Asia has acquired both seasons
one and two for Playhouse Disney while Disney Channel Latin America picked up
season one of the show which is produced by DHX Media's Halifax Film
subsidiary and commissioned by the CBC in Canada.
Josh Scherba, Vice President of Distribution said: "As a puppet-based
series, Mighty Jungle adds something new to our catalogue of preschool series
and we're very pleased to have concluded two major Disney Channel deals for
the show. Meanwhile, Animal Mechanicals is currently proving immensely popular
on Disney Channel UK and CBC, where it airs alongside our more established
properties Super Why and Franny's Feet."
DHX Media Ltd. also announces that it will hold a conference call for
