Devine to Market Complete Library of Educational and Historical Films and Franchise Titles at Upcoming American Library Association Sales Convention

Company to Focus on Expanded Distribution into Educational Marketplace
through US Libraries at January Convention in Philadelphia

    TORONTO, Dec. 12 /CNW/ - Devine Entertainment Corporation (OTCBB:DVNNF),
seeking to capitalize on the burgeoning global demand for high quality film
and television content, has announced it will be marketing its entire
proprietary film and television content library at the American Library
Association (ALA) 2008 Midwinter Meeting, to be held next month in
Philadelphia. The marketing initiative is consistent with Devine's strategy to
continue to expand sales of its award-winning educational and historical film
and DVD franchise titles.
The ALA meeting is expected to draw 11,000 to 12,000 librarians, making
it one of the industry's most important sales events for the purchase of
educational and historical filmed content. At least two-thirds of the
attendees have acquisition budgets exceeding $500,000 to purchase materials
for both individual libraries and library districts throughout the USA.
Devine has won 14 major Notable Awards from the ALA for its dramatic and
factual films about major figures in history and culture. The company will be
marketing its complete library of 24 titles which target the elementary and
middle-school demographic.
"Our educational marketing representatives are looking forward to
continuing and extending our strong response among libraries at the Midwinter
ALA meeting," said David Devine, President and Chief Executive Officer of
Devine Entertainment. "The American Library Association and its meetings are
among the most important in the educational marketplace, which is one of the
areas where Devine has established itself as a leading producer of film and
DVD content."
Devine's education strategy in the U.S. currently focuses on the pre-K
through 8th grade levels, comprising approximately 55 million students in
68,000 elementary and middle schools. It also targets more than 110,000 U.S.
libraries, including public, private and school libraries.
Among Devine's successful and award-winning educational franchises are
its "Composers' Specials" and "Artists' Specials" series, both originally
produced for HBO Original Films. The increasingly strong Devine distribution
channel also attracts high-quality titles produced by third parties, such as
Shakespeare 4 Kids and Marsalis on Music, providing yet another powerful
driver for Devine to grow its distribution pipeline and business. Devine
enjoys a near-zero returned or unsold inventory rate on its educational
titles, enabling the Company to maintain steady revenue projections in this
portion of its operations.
The ALA meeting is scheduled to take place January 11-14 at the
Pennsylvania Convention Center, in Philadelphia.
