Débat des chefs 2007 - Media attendance at Leaders' Debate Tuesday, March 13, 8:00 p.m

    MONTREAL, March 7 /CNW Telbec/ - Following is some essential information
regarding journalists' attendance at the Leaders' Debate, which will take
place next Tuesday, March 13 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
    The debate will be held in Le Parlementaire restaurant, in the Parliament
Building, in Quebec City. A press room will set up nearby, in the Parliament
Building's Louis-Joseph-Papineau room, from which media representatives can
watch the debate. Some Internet access will be available.
    All journalists assigned to cover the event must be accredited in advance
in order to be allowed access to the press room. Requests for accreditation
must be sent to Ms. Diane Côté, at (514) 597-5998 or
diane_cote@radio-canada.ca, no later than noon on Friday, March 9. Any special
requests related to debate coverage must also be submitted to Ms. Côté.
    Members of the Quebec National Assembly Press Gallery are not required to
obtain any further accreditation.
    Journalists will able to access the press room on Tuesday, March 13, from
3:00 p.m. on. They must pick up their accreditation passes at Door no. 3 (the
visitors' entrance). No parking spaces will be reserved at the Parliament
Building. Journalists must use the public parking available nearby (e.g., the
Complex G and Building H parking lots).
    All media outlets wishing to broadcast the debate, or obtain excerpts of
it, must submit a request in advance to Bruno Gaulin, at (514) 598-3946 or
    Finally, a visit of the premises - along with a photo opportunity in the
debate room - will be organized for Monday, March 12, from 2:00 p.m. to
2:15 p.m. Those interested in attending must obtain accreditation in advance,
per the procedures outlined above. For access at that time, media
representatives must go to Door no. 3 (the visitors' entrance).

    SCHEDULE - MARCH 13, 2007:

    From 3:00 p.m.:   Journalists will be met at Door no. 3
                      (visitors' entrance) and accreditation passes

    7:20-7:30 p.m.    Photo session with leaders, in the debate room

    8:00-10:00 p.m.   Leaders' debate

    10:10-10:40 p.m.  Leaders' press briefings in the Great Hall of the
                      National Assembly:
    10:10 p.m.        Press briefing by André Boisclair

    10:20 p.m.        Press briefing by Jean Charest

    10:30 p.m.        Press briefing by Mario Dumont
