TORONTO, Jan. 19 /CNW/ - Sean Jones is touring across Canada with Divine
Brown, right out of the 2009 gate, and this is only the beginning for this
singer songwriter. The extremely humble and undeniably talented Sean Jones
knows great things are in store for him especially now that his entertainment
company WIDEawake has just purchased Death Row Records.
Toronto-based WIDEawake Entertainment Group led by American attorney and
CEO Lara Lavi just acquired all Death Row records, music and publishing assets
in US Federal Bankruptcy court. "It's a new year for Death Row and all the
artists that made the label great," said Lavi.
"I have been in artist development with WIDEawake since their beginning
and their business decision to go forward with this Death Row acquisition is
great news for me as my partners are now positioned to capture world attention
for all their projects," explains Sean Jones. "I am living proof that
WIDEawake is all about the artists for every music project it acquires and
develops," adds Jones.
Sean Jones is supporting Divine Brown on the 2009 cross Canada tour and
there are hints that this pair could be the next Angie Stone/Anthony Hamilton
touring package for more touring.
Jones whose single Two Wrongs has been picking up steam since the Death
Row announcement last Thursday neither denies or confirms any such rumors.
