Day Software Features JCR Content Management and REST Expertise at ApacheCon US 2007

Global Content Management Vendor Leads Tutorials on Content Repositories
and Web Application Design for Developers

Software (SWX:DAYN)(OTCQX:DYIHY), a leading provider of global content
management and infrastructure software, today announced three of its experts
in Apache, JCR content management and REST are presenting sessions at
ApacheCon US 2007 to be held at the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta,
Georgia. Bertrand Delacretaz, Dr. Roy T. Fielding and Carsten Ziegeler's
presentations will lead Apache Software Foundation (ASF) members and
developers through the evolution and development of key technologies affecting
open-source development.

Bertrand will share his insights on code writing in the 'XSLT and XPath -
Without the Pain!' session. Attendees will learn the essential elements of
writing efficient XSLT transforms and XPath expressions.

Roy's expertise in the development of the Representational State Transfer
(REST) architectural style will be shared with developers in his session
titled 'A Little REST and Relaxation.' Roy will lead developers through an
introduction to REST and the design goals behind its evolution. Best known for
his work in developing and defining the modern World Wide Web infrastructure,
Roy is the primary architect of the current Hypertext Transfer Protocol
(HTTP/1.1), co-author of the Internet standards for HTTP and Uniform Resource
Identifiers (URI) and a founder of several open-source software projects,
including the Apache HTTP Server Project. Day Software's products leverage
architectural improvements at the access-layer level to make REST-style
interactions with content faster and easier.

Carsten's sessions called 'JCR in Action - Content-based Applications
with Apache Jackrabbit,' 'Getting Up to Speed with Apache iBatis,' and 'The
Apache Portals Panel' will demonstrate how developers can use the Content
Repository for Java Technology application programming interface (JCR API) for
effective content management, based on Apache Jackrabbit. Day submitted
version 2.0 of the Content Repository for Java Technology API, JSR 283, to the
Java Community Process (JCP) in July. An update to the groundbreaking JSR 170
standard, JSR 283 enables large enterprises to easily manage their digital
content on a global scale.
