MONTREAL, March 6 /CNW Telbec/ - The biopharmaceutical sector is
important to Canadians: its research contributes to the health and quality of
life of all citizens and the industry is a key contributor to the knowledge
economy. Canada offers a relatively good business environment for the
industry. However the current unpredictable nature of that environment is
making it more difficult to attract global investments given the industry's
long product development timelines. Developing countries are fast becoming
serious competitors in attracting global research investments. Canadian
provinces must embrace innovation to efficiently manage healthcare, ensure the
health of their population, and grow the knowledge economy.
We hope you will attend this fascinating luncheon.
