Nine GVPL branches to be affected in closures today, Thursday and Friday
VICTORIA, Nov. 6 /CNW/ - CUPE 410 is continuing its job action this week
with nine different branches closing in rotating job actions today, Thursday
and Friday - a move aimed at convincing the employer to return to the
bargaining table and negotiate a fair contract for the city's library workers.
Today's branch closures are Saanich Centennial, Oak Bay, Nellie McClung,
and Emily Carr. Thursday will see Juan de Fuca/Tech Services, Central Saanich,
Bruce Hutchison and Esquimalt branches closing, and Friday's closure will be
