    TORONTO, June 21 /CNW/ - Canada's most-watched news team is also the
most-honoured, taking home an impressive 10 awards at the annual RTNDA
National and Network gala tonight - more than any other broadcaster. CTV
British Columbia's local newscast was the big winner with three honours,
including the coveted award for best newscast (large market). CTV's Canada AM
and W-FIVE each received two network awards.

The RTNDA Awards are widely regarded as the highest recognition for
broadcast journalism in Canada. Last night, Robert Hurst, CTV's President of
News and Current Affairs, was awarded the RTNDA President's Award for his
record of distinguished service to the broadcast news industry. The
President's Award is the highest honour awarded by RTNDA Canada. Under Hurst's
leadership, CTV News has become Canada's first choice for both national and
local news.
