Hundreds of jobs moving to Portage and Main
WINNIPEG, March 14 /CNW/ - Creswin Properties Ltd. announced today two
new tenants have signed long term deals for space at Canwest Place, Winnipeg's
premier office tower at the corner of Portage and Main.
Meyers Norris Penny LLP, one of the top ten chartered accountancy and
advisory firms in Western Canada, is moving its office from St. James,
downtown to Canwest Place, and has secured approximately 40,000 square feet of
prime office space. MNP is expected to begin the move this July and complete
the transition in 2009.
Global Television will be moving from its location at the junction of St.
Mary's and St. Anne's Roads, to state-of-the-art facilities in Canwest Place.
Global will be assuming control of approximately 15,000 square feet of space
in the building. The move from the founding location of the television network
to downtown Winnipeg will unite the station with the Company's head office,
also located in Canwest Place. Global Television expects to be on-air from its
new location by September, 2008.
