Creating memorable customer experiences help Lumière & Four Seasons Resort Whistler land exclusive AAA/CAA Five Diamond Awards

BURNABY, BC, Jan. 14 /CNW/ - The British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) congratulates Lumière Restaurant in Vancouver and the Four Seasons Resort Whistler on each receiving a prestigious AAA/CAA Five Diamond Award. The Four Seasons Resort Whistler is the only hotel in Canada, and Lumière is one of only six restaurants in Canada to receive a Five Diamond Award for 2011.

"Consistently delivering an outstanding experience for the customer is a large part of what the Five Diamond Award recognizes," says BCAA President & CEO, Tim Condon. "BCAA, along with CAA and AAA, extend our congratulations to these two very deserving establishments."

Five Diamond establishments represent 0.3 per cent of the current 59,000 AAA/CAA Approved lodgings and restaurants. All Five Diamond lodgings and restaurants are subject to unannounced annual evaluations based on published guidelines, which include service, amenities and surroundings.

"It's a significant achievement to be recognized at this level," says Condon. "Receiving this designation truly puts Lumière and the Four Seasons Resort Whistler at the top of the hospitality industry in Canada."

The Five Diamond Awards are the only rating system that covers Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. AAA/CAA Diamond Ratings and Inspector Notes can be found in printed TourBook guides, eTourBook guides and CAA's TripTik Travel Planner. Plus, those with an Apple iPhone can access CAA's free TripTik Mobile app, which uses GPS technology to display AAA/CAA Approved and Diamond Rated hotels and restaurants near a user's location.
