CPA announces cops for kids safety campaign

    OTTAWA, April 19 /CNW Telbec/ - In November 2006, the Canadian Police
Association Board of Directors selected Xentel DM to produce and market a new
initiative entitled "Cops for Kids Safety".
"This newest CPA initiative promotes child safety, whether at school,
home, during play, on our streets and of course on the Internet with an
objective to keep our kids safe", said CPA President Tony Cannavino.
The CPA will be calling Canadians seeking financial support for the
campaign and help strengthen the CPA's voice for justice, community safety and
victims of crime.
The concept is to have an interactive school program designed to teach
kids about safety in the school, at home, during play, on the streets and on
the Internet. Together with parents and teachers, the program will take
children through an interactive scenario showing them real life skill
situations and score them on their performance. It will be a valuable tool in
the education of our children. Further, it will provide a resource for our
teachers and community police officers to use in our schools throughout
