CP24 Offers Up Toronto's First Local News At 5 p.m.: Live At 5 Premieres Jan. 14 on CP24

    TORONTO, Jan. 10 /CNW/ - CP24 - Toronto's destination for breaking news -
launches Live At 5, Toronto's first local news at 5 p.m., beginning this
Monday, January 14 at 5 p.m. ET. Hosted by Ann Rohmer and George Lagogianes,
Live At 5 will deliver up to the minute local news and weather affecting
Torontonians and the latest traffic developments and TTC updates from across
the city. Live At 5 will also feature breaking entertainment news and live
updates of the day's top business news.
    "There is an obvious appetite for early evening news and CP24 is thrilled
to be the first out of the gate providing Torontonians with live news at
5 p.m.," said Bob McLaughlin, Vice President and General Manager of CP24.
"With veteran anchors Ann Rohmer and George Lagogianes at the helm, Live At 5
is now the go-to channel for early evening news."
    Rohmer has been a CP24 anchor and host since 2001 and has led
Torontonians through numerous breaking news events including, most recently,
the major snowstorm that hit Toronto on December 16. Viewers will recognize
her from programs such as CityOnLine, Hot Property, Animal House Calls and On
The Quarter.
    Lagogianes has worked as an anchor, reporter, producer and video
journalist for CityNews Toronto, Bravo! News and Electric Circus Canada's
first internationally syndicated live urban dance program.
