VANCOUVER, Aug. 24 /CNW/ - Copper Ridge Explorations Inc. ("Copper Ridge"
or the "Company") announces the results of the final 6 of the 13 diamond drill
holes completed at its 100% owned Copper Ace Project, located 2 kilometers
northwest of the producing Gibraltar copper-molybdenum mine in central British
Columbia. The recently completed 3219 m program was designed to test
coincident IP chargeability and copper soil geochemical anomalies that occur
within favourable "Mine Series" intrusive rocks along strike from the
Gibraltar open pits.
Analytical results have now been received for holes CA07-10 and CA-07-12
to CA-07-16. All of the holes except CA-07-12 and CA-07-13, drilled to test a
soil geochemical anomaly outside the main target area, intersected the Mine
Series tonalite. All of the holes that intersected the Mine Series Tonalite
had varying degrees of quartz - sericite alteration and disseminated sulphide
mineralization, including trace to one percent copper mineralization as
chalcopyrite and occasionally bornite, with local occurrences of molybdenite.
As with previous holes (see Copper Ridge press release on August 8, 2007),
higher concentrations of copper mineralization generally correlate with
stronger foliation, sericite alteration and quartz veining. Significant
intersections from the current results include 1.10 m of 0.38% copper, 1.8 g/t
gold and (greater than) 1 % zinc (assays pending) in CA07 - 10; 9.0 m of
0.24 % zinc also in hole CA07 - 10 and 5.1 m of 0.02 % molybdenum in hole
The Company is encouraged that 11 of the 13 holes drilled in the current
program intersected sericitically altered Mine Series Tonalite with locally
anomalous structurally controlled intersections of copper, molybdenum, zinc
and gold mineralization. These results suggest that the holes may have been
drilled on the fringes of a larger body of possibly economic mineralization.
The company is evaluating the results in the context of all of the previous
data on the property in order to plan the next stage of exploration.
Mr. Greg Dawson, VP Exploration for Copper Ridge is the Qualified Person

Assaying was conducted by Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. of Vancouver.
Copper Ridge's exploration philosophy focuses on maximizing the potential
for success in a high-risk business. With grass roots mineral exploration,
where the entry cost is low but the potential reward can be very high, success
will be contingent on exploration skill and on carefully managed risk. Our
management team brings tenacity, technical skill and experience, all crucial
ingredients for discovery. By exploring a broad array of projects, focusing on
the right commodities, in areas of high mineral potential and in
mining-friendly jurisdictions and by sharing the risks on some projects with
joint venture partners, Copper Ridge is exposing its shareholders to a greater
chance for discovery. Copper Ridge is well financed for the 2007 field program
on its Yukon and British Columbia properties.
