Continuum Health Care Inc. announces grants awarded through the Affordable Supportive Living Initiative

    CALGARY, Jan. 15 /CNW/ - Continuum Health Care Inc. ("Continuum" or the
"Corporation") ("TSX-V: CCF") is pleased to announce that on January 14, 2008,
the Alberta government, through Alberta Seniors and Community Supports, under
the Affordable Supportive Living Initiative ("ASLI") program, approved a grant
to the corporation's subsidiary, Continuum Health Care Holdings Ltd., for the
development and operation of sixteen (16) designated supportive living units
in a seniors housing facility to be constructed in the town of Drayton Valley,
Alberta. Pursuant to the ASLI Program, Continuum Health Care Holdings Ltd.
will receive $1,396,508 to be applied toward the capital costs of the 16
designated units within the proposed Drayton Valley facility. The capital
funding is to be provided 50% by ASLI and 50% by the Government of Canada,
through its Affordable Housing Trusts program. The Alberta Government
announced capital funding of a total of $30 million dollars under the ASLI
program on January 14, 2008, including the grant that is the subject matter of
this press release.
