Consumer Contact ULC bucks the trend and creates 400 new jobs during a recession

TORONTO, Jan. 9 /CNW/ - Consumer Contact ULC, one of North America's
largest independent research data collection companies, announced today the
opening of a new call centre in the north east area of Toronto, Ontario. The
new call centre is expected to fully operational in early February and the
company is now recruiting for over 400 new research interviewers.
"Our telephone data collection service has grown significantly over the
past few years, due to our specialization in customer satisfaction and loyalty
monitoring and reporting," said Derek Bildfell, President of Consumer Contact
ULC. "The top priority for marketing during a recession is customer research.
Our expertise in this area will continue to drive growth through 2009."
Consumer Contact's new call centre, located at McGowan Road and Hwy 401
in Toronto, will be the fifth Consumer Contact call centre in Canada and will
increase the total number of call stations to nearly 450. Recruiting for over
400 research interviews will begin immediately.
"The new call centre is ideally located right across from Scarborough
Town Centre. It has excellent access to public transit, parking, green space,
Hwy 401 and the YMCA is just across the street," said Bildfell. "This should
make it very attractive for anyone interested in part time work in a clean,
safe environment."
New interviewers will be selected for their communication, technical
abilities and professionalism. All interviewers undergo an extensive training
program, for which they are fully paid. Multi-lingual candidates are very
welcome to apply.
"Opening a new call centre reinforces our position as one of the leading
data collection companies in North America," said Don Ambrose, Chairman of
Consumer Contact ULC. "We are making a long term commitment to provide
excellence in data collection while many of our competitors are cutting back
or outsourcing overseas."
