TROIS-RIVIERES, QC, Jan. 16 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honourable Denis Lebel,
Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, took the opportunity while
in Mauricie today to announce the granting of $278,100 in repayable funding to
Epsilia Inc. for the implementation of a two-year strategy aimed at
commercializing the firm's traceability solutions abroad. With this project,
the enterprise hopes to increase its presence on the American, Mexican and
French markets, as well as on Canadian markets outside Quebec.
Epsilia Inc. develops and markets innovative traceability solutions for
the agro processing, aeronautics, manufacturing and shipping/logistics
industries and provides consulting services to companies operating in these
sectors. The technological solutions developed by this firm enable customers
to conform to increasingly strict industry standards and ensure effective
logistics throughout every stage of the manufacturing process.

With this contribution from Canada Economic Development, granted through
the Community Economic Diversification Initiative - Vitality (CEDI-V), Epsilia
Inc. will be able to implement a marketing strategy aimed at producing
marketing tools and promotional materials, conducting canvassing activities,
participating in trade fairs and carrying out prospecting missions to
countries where it is seeking to make market inroads. The company also intends
to customize its technological platform to meet the specific needs of new
