Connacher produces one millionth barrel at Great Divide

CALGARY, July 22 /CNW/ - Connacher Oil and Gas Limited (CLL - TSX)
announced today that on July 22, 2008 the company's production at Great Divide
Pod One surpassed one million barrels of bitumen. This is a significant
milestone for the company and its operating team in Calgary and on location at
Pod One.
Current production at Pod One is presently ranging between 7,500 bbl/d
and 8,500 bbl/d of bitumen. Since our last report, the company experienced a

2008 production was constrained while managing some minor issues related to
the vapor recovery unit and then the plant was shut down for several days for
an unscheduled turnaround to clean out vessels, which had experienced material
buildup since the startup of the plant.
Connacher remains very pleased with the fact it has not experienced any
constraints associated with well productivity and the next step for the
company is to optimize production to realize Pod One productive and plant
capacity of 10,000 bbl/d of bitumen. It is noted that fourteen wells are
currently producing with steam being injected in associated well pairs; the
fifteenth producing well, which was redrilled due to mechanical complications,
has not yet been activated nor has steam yet been injected into its associated
injector well.
