Coming to a Toronto library near you: Gisèle's TVOKids Library Tour kicks off Sunday January 27, 2008 on Family Literacy Day

    Inviting kids and families to share Gisèle's love of reading, during Keep
    Toronto Reading 2008.

    TORONTO, Jan. 3 /CNW/ - Adored TVOKids preschool television host Gisèle
brings the magic of her Big Backyard LIVE during Gisèle's TVOKids Library
Tour. The tour launches on Family Literacy Day Sunday January 27, 2008 at 2 pm
at Toronto's North York Central Library. Gisèle's tour continues at six
additional library locations throughout February, during Keep Toronto Reading
- the Toronto Public Library's month-long celebration of "the brilliance of
the book in all its forms."
    At each library stop along the tour, children can enter Gisèle's
colourful world. Gisèle will read her Big Backyard Book Club's book of the
month for February (A Trip with Grandma, written and illustrated by Ruth Ohi)
and tell children how they can join her Big Backyard Book Club. During each
library visit, Gisèle will also talk to kids about her love of books and the
wonders of a library card, perform songs, and invite kids to create their own
special bookmark with her. Each tour visit is free, and is approximately 45

    Gisèle's Big Backyard - TVOKids' early learning block for children ages 2
to 6 - runs weekdays from 6 am to 3:30 pm on TVO. Engaging programs and
related online activities boost children's literacy, numeracy and social
