TORONTO, March 21 /CNW/ - With an influx of new earmarked funding for
postsecondary education from the federal budget, Ontario's college and
college/university students are looking to the McGuinty government to further
increase and expand the Reaching Higher plan in its pre-election budget
tomorrow, says the College Student Alliance (CSA).
"Ontario's college and college/university students did their part to get
increased federal funding for postsecondary education and training," says Matt
Jackson, President of the CSA. "Now the province has to do its part to further
expand the window of access to all Ontarians."
Students will be available for comments after Minister Greg Sorbara
releases the Government's pre-election budget on Thursday.
The College Student Alliance (CSA) is an advocacy and services
organization which has been proudly serving Ontario's college and
college/university students since 1967. The CSA currently represents 16
colleges and 22 student councils with over 109,000 full-time student members
throughout the province.
