College student retention: First of its kind college study in Canada to release interim findings tomorrow

    What:     Report to be released by the Seneca College led Foundations for
              Success (FFS) on the effect of directed advisement and support
              services on student retention.

    When:     Tuesday, April 28, 2009
              9:30 a.m.

    Where:    Queen's Park Media Studio
              Main Legislative Building
              Toronto, Ontario

    Why:      To identify effective strategies to improve student retention
              in post-secondary education.

    Who:      The FFS research project is funded by the Canada Millennium
              Scholarship Foundation and the Ministry of Training, Colleges
              and Universities and involves Seneca, Mohawk and Confederation
              Colleges. FFS analyzes the college retention of a total of
              3,141 students, with retention data currently available on
              1,711 students.
