OTTAWA, June 19 /CNW Telbec/ - NAV CANADA today announced the successful
conclusion of collective bargaining with the Professional Institute of the
Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) which represents approximately 350 employees
involved primarily in information management and support as well as
engineering support nationwide.
Members of PIPSC voted in favour of the tentative agreement reached on
May 6, 2009. The new collective agreement runs until April 30, 2010, and
provides for wage increases of 1 per cent on May 1 2008, 1 per cent on
November 1, 2008 and 1 per cent on May 1, 2009, followed by a 1.5 per cent
increase on November 1, 2009.
NAV CANADA, the country's civil air navigation services provider, is a
private sector, non-share capital corporation financed through publicly-traded
