CALGARY, June 18 /CNW/ - CMQ Resources Inc. (CMQ:TSXV) is pleased to
announce the commencement today of its 2007 drilling program.
The program consists of 10 to 13 drill holes at the Valmy Hill, Northwest
Corridor and Hot Springs North target areas of the Vasquir Project. Boart
Longyear Drilling Services has been contracted to complete the flooded reverse
circulation drill program, which is anticipated to be completed on or before
November 15, 2007.
The drill targets were selected using geologic mapping, soil and rock
geochemical surveys, and airborne magnetic, AMT and gravity surveys, as well
as using drilling information and multi-element down-hole geochemistry from
the 2005 and 2006 drill programs. Thirteen holes have been drilled previously
on the Vasquir Project for a total depth of 14,877 feet, of which 4,782 feet
Gold Fields Orogen Holding (BVI) Limited, a subsidiary of Gold Fields
Limited (CMQ's strategic alliance partner) has reviewed and is supportive of
CMQ's 2007 program.
CMQ has approximately $4.3 million in capital resources as at March 31,
2007, which it believes will be sufficient to fully fund its current
exploration plans for the Vasquir property for 2007.
Adjustments to the program may be made as drill results become available.
The drill results are expected to be released upon completion of the program
or major components thereof.
John Hogg, Vice-President Exploration, Montezuma Mines Inc., is the
qualified person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, who will supervise
the exploration efforts on the Company's Nevada projects.
CMQ is a mineral exploration company actively pursuing two significant
