CIBC wraps Toronto Pearson's arrival terminals in Creativity, Glamour and Culture
TORONTO, June 9 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) today unveiled a unique marketing campaign at Toronto Pearson International Airport just in time to welcome the world - 'Bollywood style' - to the 2011 International Indian Film Academy Awards.
A first for CIBC, this targeted and highly-visible marketing approach consists of massive banners and column wraps that have been installed around the airport featuring the themes of Culture, Creativity, and Glamour. Working closely with Toronto Pearson, more than 35 of these colourful banners have been installed throughout the Terminal 1 and 3 arrivals levels at Toronto's main airport to greet international travelers as they arrive in Toronto throughout the month of June.
"This campaign is all about greeting our international visitors and welcoming them to Toronto, and to the 2011 IIFA awards, and the airport is our first opportunity to welcome them," said Veni Iozzo, CIBC's Senior Vice President of Marketing. "The IIFA Awards in Toronto is a major international cultural event that is expected to draw more than 40,000 people to Toronto. With our airport campaign, we wanted to make sure the CIBC and Toronto Pearson welcome to these visitors is equally impressive."
The creative themes for the Toronto Pearson banners emphasize the concepts of Culture, Glamour and Creativity - three elements that represent the essence of the 2011 IIFA awards programme in Toronto.
CIBC is the presenting sponsor of the 2011 IIFA Celebrations. The IIFA Awards, fondly known as the 'Bollywood Oscars', are the annual awards for India's global movie industry. The event, taking place in North America for the first time, and is expected to attract over 40,000 visitors to Toronto as well as a global audience of 600 million viewers.
