Trevor Linden will be on-site to meet fans; $5000 donation to the Crisis
Pregnancy Centre of Burnaby to mark the occasion
BURNABY, BC, June 19 /CNW/ - Tomorrow, Vancouver hockey legend Trevor
Linden will help CIBC celebrate the grand opening of its new 5800 square-foot
branch at the southwest corner of Kingsway and Acorn Avenues in Burnaby's High
Gate Village community. Located on the ground floor of the AXIS condominium
development, the branch offers clients full-service banking seven days a week,
as well as service in English, Tagalog, Hindi, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Trevor Linden will be on-site to meet fans and sign autographs for guests
who have the chance to win one of two signed Linden jerseys. There will also
be a draw to win a $1000 GIC as well as refreshments and fun activities for
families, including face painting, balloon and henna art.

To mark the occasion CIBC will make a $5000 donation towards the
renovation of the Crisis Pregnancy Centre of Burnaby and New Westminster, a
non-profit organization which provides outreach to women and teenage girls in
the community. The Crisis Pregnancy Centre provides information and practical
support during the course of pregnancy and up to two years after, by providing
maternity and baby clothes and ongoing friendship in a safe environment.

Norton, executive director of the Burnaby Crisis Pregnancy Centre. "Our
charity, which has assisted over 14,400 women, provides support for pregnant
teens and single mothers, shelter for women and children fleeing domestic
abuse, and counseling and advocacy for victims of rape. Thank you CIBC for
helping us help women and children in crisis."
The new branch offers clients CIBC's full range of products and advisory
solutions in a branch that is fully accessible including three Automated
Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with
headphone jacks for audio access; grab bars for mobility assistance; and

Thursday - Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
