TEMISCAMING, QC, June 9 /CNW Telbec/ - James Lopez, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Tembec today announced that Chris Black has been
appointed Executive Vice President and President of Tembec's Paper Group.
Tembec's Paper Group consists of three main facilities, including two
newsprint mills located in Kapuskasing, Ontario and Pine Falls, Manitoba, and
the Temboard operation in Temiscaming, Quebec. Group capacity totals
approximately 600,000 tonnes of newsprint and coated paperboard.
Chris Black "Mr. Black brings to this role close to 20 years of
experience in the pulp and paper industry and strong competencies in finance
and marketing. He will be accountable for developing, establishing and
executing a strategic business plan for the Group, along with short and long
term objectives," said James Lopez, President and Chief Executive Officer of
Mr. Black joined Tembec in 2000 as Vice President, Sales and Marketing,
Newsprint Division and was appointed Senior Vice President, Newsprint Division
in November 2004, the position he held until this appointment. Born in Barrie,
Ontario in 1958, Mr. Black is a graduate of York University in Toronto with a
B.A. in Economics (1980) and a M.B.A. (Finance) also from York University
