China market opens up for Newmerical Technologies International

    MONTREAL, Aug. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - Newmerical Technologies International
(TSX-V: CFD) is pleased to announce that it is achieving measurable success in
the China aerospace market, after years of courting. On 2008-08-08, new
Chinese contracts confirm that NTI's unique in-flight icing simulation
software system (FENSAP-ICE) and engineering services have become the
technology of choice for icing certification of new aircraft, helicopter and
jet engines around the world.
In early 2008, NTI has retained Beijing Vision Strategy Technology Ltd.
as its new PRC reseller, and its vigorous efforts have since resulted in a
number of contracts, the most significant being:

    - A full license of FENSAP-ICE + maintenance for The First Aircraft
      Institute of AVIC1, in Xi'an,
    - Consulting and software maintenance services from the same
    - Renewal of the maintenance of the FENSAP-ICE license by The First
Aircraft Institute of AVIC1, in Shanghai, which also recently
co-authored a seminal technical paper with NTI on modern approaches for
designing aircraft ice protection systems that was presented at the SAE
2007 Aircraft & Engine Icing International Conference in Seville,
    - Paid FENSAP-ICE on-site training in Jingdezhen for 4 companies: China
Helicopter Research & Development Institute, Shenyang Aero-Engine R&D
Company, Wuhan Aviation Instruments Co. and the Zhuzhou Aero-engine
Research Institute. Such training is usually the last step taken by
      prospective buyers before ordering.

The aggregate value of the above sales is nearly a quarter of a million
US dollars. Coming on the heels of NTI's success in Japan, these activities
show the broad range of interest from emerging aerospace countries for NTI's
products: training, software and consulting. Several other projects, such as a
China-wide in-flight icing course, proprietary developments projects with
AVIC1, and a 1-month training for AVIC1 engineers in Montreal, are also being
currently considered. The China market is being assiduously pursued in many
other areas.

    or accuracy of this release.
