Montréal, February 26, 2009 - Mr. Jean-Marc Proulx, Chairman of the Board
of Génome Québec, announced earlier today that the Executive Committee has
accepted the resignations, effective immediately, of Mr. Paul L'Archevêque and
Ms. Carole Jabet, respectively President Chief Executive Officer and Vice
President Scientific Affairs of Génome Québec. During the interim, Mr. Proulx
will assume these responsibilities and work closely with the management team
already in place at Génome Québec.
On behalf of the Board Members and on his behalf, Mr. Proulx stated, "I
wish to thank both Mr. L'Archevêque and Ms Jabet for their contribution in the
advancement of genomics in Québec, as well as having contributed to making
this organization a leader in its field and now a world-class organization".
For his part, Mr. L'Archevêque commented, "I am very proud of Génome
Québec's achievements and I continue to believe in the importance of an
organization such as Génome Québec, which is a key player in the innovation
Mr. Proulx wanted to add, "All regular activities of Génome Québec will
continue to be performed according to the business plan".
