CALGARY, March 28 /CNW/ - Champion Bear Resources Ltd. ("Champion Bear"
or the "Company") announced today that drilling has commenced at its
polymetallic Iron Mask property northwest of Sudbury. Drilling at Iron Mask
will follow up an intersection of 0.13% Cu over a 7.2 metre core length (true
width undetermined) from 99.5 to 106.7 metres in Hole IM05-5, (see Champion
Bear's news release dated August 9, 2005) and will also test other nearby
untested IP targets.
Champion Bear has signed a 1,500 metre drill contact with Boart Longyear,
to further test each of its Iron Mask and Halcyon properties.
Drilling at Halcyon will follow up anomalous Ni mineralization
encountered in drill hole HAL04-10, which intersected 2,949 ppm (0.29% Ni)
over a core length of 3.6 metres (see Champion Bear's news release dated
October 26, 2004).
Technical project supervision is provided by Watts, Griffis and McOuat
Limited. The QP for the technical aspects of this news release is Joe Hinzer,
