CGI Recognized for Innovation in Government for eVA Procurement Program

NYSE:   GIB) announced today that CGI and the Commonwealth of Virginia received
the Innovation in Government award from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)
for the eVA e-procurement program.
    The Commonwealth of Virginia partnered with CGI to develop eVA, a
statewide electronic purchasing solution, to increase the efficiency of both
state and local government procurement. Since 2001, the Commonwealth has used
eVA to process over 1.5 million orders to buy $14 billion of products and
services. In addition to pioneering eVA, CGI today supports the system through
a managed services contract for application management, development and
maintenance, ensuring that even greater benefits will be realized for

goods and services faster, easier, and at best value using a single on-line
source, saving our taxpayers money while streamlining processing for our
vendors. Through the eVA program, we have cut order processing costs up to 50%
and reduced processing time in some cases up to 70%," said Ron Bell,
Virginia's Director of the Division of Purchases and Supply, Department of
General Services.
