TORONTO, Aug. 24 /CNW/ - Following the National Football League's (NFL)
indefinite suspension of quarterback Michael Vick earlier today, Canadian
Football League (CFL) Commissioner Mark Cohon commented:
"In response to media inquiries regarding the possibility of Michael Vick
playing in the CFL, I would like to clarify that any NFL players, who are
currently under contract or serving a suspension, are prohibited from signing
a CFL player contract as outlined by the League's governing documents."
