Michelle Wright and Josh Classen host event tonight at Jubilee Auditorium
EDMONTON, Aug. 23 /CNW/ - Michelle Wright and Josh Classen will join
together tonight to honour Edmonton-area World Vision child sponsors at the
Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.
World Vision is inviting local child sponsors and their guests to an
evening of appreciation, inspiration and entertainment. CTV meteorologist Josh
Classen will share experiences from his recent trip to Nicaragua with World
Vision. Classen will introduce Eric Ramirez, a former sponsored child from the
Philippines who now works as a nurse in Edmonton. Award-winning country artist
Michelle Wright and African musical group Krystaal will perform for the 2,500
child sponsors expected to attend the event, which is part of World Vision's
Edmonton 3200 Campaign running from August 1 - September 15.
The campaign goal is to find sponsors for 3,200 needy children in
developing countries. Generous residents from Edmonton and surrounding
communities already sponsor 19,532 children through World Vision. Since the
launch of the campaign on August 1, local residents have sponsored an
additional 1,978 children.
