Celebrate Canada Day with Local Athletes at the Algonquin Park Hbc Run for Canada

ALGONQUIN PARK, ON, June 28 /CNW/ - Join local athletes training for the
Olympic, Commonwealth and Paralympic Games at the Algonquin Park annual Hbc
Run for Canada on July 1st, 2007. All proceeds from the Run will go to support
Canadian athletes and elite training facilities across Canada. The event,
which includes a 10km run, a fun-for-all 3km family walk and a 1km kids' fun
run, will allow Canadians from across the country to help raise money for
local athletes in their hometown.
In addition to Games hopefuls, members of Olympians Canada will join
local runners and walkers participating in the Run. This is the first time
that all six regional chapters of Olympians Canada have joined together in
support of a single charity event. Olympians Canada enables Olympians in
Canada to establish contact or reunite with fellow Olympians, to celebrate
past achievements and to promote the Olympic movement for the benefit of
future Olympians.
