Former Apple and Compaq Executive Phil Soper Joins the CompuCom
Management Team as Vice President and General Manager for Canadian Business
MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO, September 26 /CNW/ - CCSI Technology Solutions
Corp., a subsidiary of CompuCom Systems, Inc. (CCSI CompuCom), today announced
the appointment of Phil Soper to the post of Vice President and General
Manager, where he will be responsible for CCSI business in Canada.
Mr. Soper brings a wealth of technology and business leadership
experience to CCSI CompuCom. He has a proven track record of achieving
targets, delivering excellent results and building business. He has held
successful direct sales and sales management positions with several
industry-leading, global technology and telecommunications companies.
Mr. Soper previously served as National Sales Manager at Apple Canada
Inc., where he led a multi-sales channel team that sold into key markets such
as education, business, reseller and consumer. Prior to that, he was Vice
President, Complementary Channels for Telus Business Solutions, which is a
Canadian telecommunications company providing voice, data and wireless
solutions to the consumer and commercial markets. Mr. Soper also spent a total
of 14 years with Compaq Canada Inc. in sales and sales management positions of
increasing responsibility, rising from Dealer Sales Representative to Director
of Sales, British Columbia, where he was responsible for providing sales
leadership and general operations management for the BC operation. Mr. Soper
has a bachelor's degree from the University of Western Ontario. He is also on
the Executive Board of the Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People. He will be
based in CCSI's Mississauga location.
