MONTREAL, Aug. 18 /CNW Telbec/ - The Casino de Montréal is proud to join
the Vincent Lecavalier Foundation in hosting the Vincent Lecavalier Classic
poker tournament next September 1st.
The popular Tampa Bay Lightning forward will be the honorary chairman of
this tournament where, starting at noon, 200 poker players will go head to
head throughout the day in a friendly competition benefiting this most worthy
cause. A first for the Casino's poker hall, the event will be held in the
presence of a number of well-known personalities, such as Guy Carbonneau,
Stéphane Quintal and Vincent Damphousse who, along with Vincent Lecavalier,
will all be playing a few hands of poker.
A total of $60,000 in prizes will be awarded to tournament winners.
Participants are required to pay registration fees of $350. During the
tournament, players may take advantage of a rebuy/add-on opportunity for $150.
Participants will be welcomed as of 10:30 a.m. for breakfast; the tournament
will start at noon. Registrations will be taken at the Casino de Montréal's

The event underscores the Société des casinos du Québec's involvement in
the community as a corporate citizen. A subsidiary of Loto-Québec, the Société
des casinos du Québec is responsible for managing and developing Quebec's four
casinos. The Casino de Montréal offers some 15 Texas Hold'em poker tables with
dealers. The Charlevoix, Gatineau and Mont-Tremblant casinos also have Texas
Hold'em poker tables with dealers.
