President, Directories Division, CanWest MediaWorks. "Go!Local community pages
are designed to be accessible and affordable for all local businesses and to
help consumers to easily find what they need, while supporting their community

Taking an industry leadership position, CanWest has developed a

Canadian owned and operated, CanWest will integrate the power of its
local directories with the strength of its network of trusted properties, and

Go!Local community pages provide local businesses with the opportunity to

superior reach into their local markets, and complementing the broad spectrum
of advertising opportunities available through the CanWest network. Online
advertising can be purchased with specialized packages to meet individual
business' needs, offering advertisers the choice to include ad creative, URLs,
email addresses, additional descriptive text, and more.
Designed to work the way consumers need them to, Go!Local community pages
feature complete business listings, strong search functionality, and
alphabetical indexing to help users find what they're looking for the first
time. The print directory provides improved legibility with a 10% larger type
size than traditional directories and glossy detailed city maps, while the
online directory includes interactive features that allow consumers to Click
to Call, Save, Share and Print for easy retrieval of information, and helpful
mapping and driving directions.
In the coming weeks, CanWest will also release a new and innovative
5 1/4" by 6" mini version of the Go!Local Ottawa print directory in a
convenient size that's easier to store, portable and a great local search tool
for highly mobile consumers, and includes the same comprehensive listings as
the larger version.
The next two Go!Local community pages to be launched are currently in
development in Regina, supported by The Leader-Post, and in Saskatoon,
supported by The StarPhoenix, and are scheduled for release in early 2008.
