    TORONTO, June 3 /CNW/ - Canwest announced today details of the 2009-2010
programming lineup across its Specialty channels. From Mark Burnett's
exploration in Africa and Mike Dowse's outrageous new drama, The Foundation,
to Chef Guy Fieri's foray into an exciting new live format, the primetime
schedules offer an extensive lineup of engrossing new series, specials and
blockbuster movies.

    Passion and expertise rule the kitchen in the fast-paced new series,
Chopped. Hosted by Ted Allen (Food Detectives), the series challenges four
up-and-coming chefs to turn a selection of everyday ingredients into an
extraordinary three-course meal. After each course, a contestant gets
"chopped" until the last person left standing claims victory. Each week, a
rotating panel of culinary elite judges will decide whose dishes shine the
brightest and award the winner $10,000.
