Canadians sing to a new tune with Hallmark Recordable Storybooks - now with music

Favourite characters Lightning McQueen, Winnie the Pooh and Cinderella join Canadian families for story time with three new Disney titles added to the collection

TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2011 /CNW/ - Hallmark Canada has moved into the musical realm with their ever popular Recordable Storybook collection with the addition of three new Disney titles to the Hallmark library, Lightning McQueen and His Winning Team, Winnie the Pooh's Plan Bee and What Make's a Princess? These new storybooks are the first of the collection available with pre-recorded music, adding a whimsical soundtrack to story time.  Lightning McQueen and His Winning Team and Winnie the Pooh's Plan Bee both focus on the importance of friendship while the Disney Princess title, What Makes a Princess, reminds female readers how special it is to be a young girl.

"Disney classics like Cinderella and Winnie the Pooh have been enjoyed by parents and children alike for generations and we are thrilled to be able to bring these favourite characters to Canadian homes," said Chris Kelly, Vice President Consumer Solutions & Brand Experience, Hallmark Canada. "We are excited with the addition of music to the collection and that's just the beginning. We will be adding brand new titles and even more innovations to the line in 2012."

Hallmark Recordable Storybooks feature voice-capture technology which records the reader's voice directly into the book. When a page is turned, the Recordable Storybook automatically plays the pre-recorded voice along with the music, allowing children to read and sing along with a loved one, even if they can't physically be there.  Each book also includes a dedication page which allows readers to record a personal message, creating a gift that will be cherished forever.

Hallmark Recordable Storybooks debuted in 2010 with the Christmas classics The Night Before Christmas and Frosty the Snowman.  For more information about Hallmark Canada's Recordable Storybooks and other titles in the collection, visit
