v-GO Sign-on Platform Joins IT Services Firm's Security Products Lineup
MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO & NEW YORK, September 6 /CNW/ - Passlogix(R), Inc.,
developer of the market-leading v-GO(R) Sign-on Platform(TM) for enterprise
single sign-on (ESSO), today announced the addition of Canadian IT services
firm Conexsys Communications Ltd. to its Platinum Partner program. The
Passlogix v-GO Sign-on Platform is now a core offering in Conexsys' suite of
information security and network infrastructure solutions and services, which
it sells primarily to government agencies, financial institutions and other
large organizations in Ontario and Western Canada.
Conexsys previously utilized RSA(R) Sign-on Manager, an RSA-branded
version of the v-GO product, as its enterprise single sign-on platform. RSA
recently announced that it is transitioning responsibility for RSA Sign-on
Manager to Passlogix and authorizing Passlogix to embed RSA SecurID(R)
authentication technology into the v-GO platform for tighter integration with
RSA tokens for network authentication. Conexsys elected to immediately
establish a direct relationship with Passlogix to take advantage of this
exclusive integration agreement as well as v-GO's ability to support other
components of the identity infrastructure.
"Enterprise single sign-on is a useful strategy for eliminating the
burden of requiring a different password for each business application, but
customers are looking to add more than password protection to their assets,"
said Michael Yassin, Conexsys vice president of business development.
"Passlogix has the unique ability to enable seamless connectivity between
strong authentication, single sign-on and user provisioning technologies, and
that will simplify deployments as well as enable us to satisfy virtually any
implementation scenario presented by our clients."
"Conexsys has an established base of Canadian customers in both the
public and private sectors, a solid understanding of the role of ESSO within
the enterprise, and firsthand experience with our technology through their
work with RSA Sign-on Manager," said Scott Bonnell, vice president of business
development for Passlogix. "Their decision to join our partner program is a
clear endorsement of the v-GO platform and its value as part of an enterprise
security implementation while demonstrating Conexsys' commitment to addressing
the ongoing requirements of their RSA Sign-on Manager customers."
The v-GO Sign-On Platform is built around v-GO SSO (v-GO Single
Sign-On(R)), which automatically and securely signs the user into any number
of Windows, mainframe or Web applications after a single network logon without
additional identification and authentication processes. This reduces the
security gaps, administrative overhead, user frustration and help desk costs
involved with the use of multiple application passwords.
The v-GO platform also includes five add-on products that extend v-GO's
single sign-on capabilities to any form of strong authentication and to kiosk
environments; enable all identity provisioning systems to automatically inject
user credentials into v-GO SSO; permit self-service reset of forgotten Windows
passwords; and centralize management of strong authentication devices.
Enterprises frequently deploy v-GO before implementing identity
management or two-factor authentication because v-GO can go live quickly and
seamlessly integrate with all major identity management systems as well as any
combination of smart cards, badges, proximity devices, tokens or biometrics.
v-GO can be deployed on existing servers without adding dedicated or
proprietary hardware, scales to support organizations of any size, and is used
in enterprises around the world with 6 million licenses sold.
