Campy Soap Dives Between the Sheets in Cottage Country in Third Season of Paradise Falls

Season 3 Now In Production in Toronto and Muskoka

TORONTO, Aug. 9 /CNW/ - Welcome to Paradise Falls, where everyone is
lying about something - or on someone! The campy dramatic primetime serial
Paradise Falls is back before the cameras for a third season as this Showcase
Original series continues to chronicle ever-twisting tales of murder, mystery
and steamy love affairs in a seemingly quaint little vacation spot nestled in
the woods of the Canadian North. However, this year what's going on behind
cottage doors will knock viewers' socks off: gay weddings gone awry at the
local B&B, mysterious sightings in the woods, creepy cults, missing bodies,
racy couples, love triangles - and for those interested in above-the-sheets
politics, a local election filled with dirty tricks.
Production has begun on 26 all-new half-hour episodes on location in
Toronto and Muskoka. This production order brings the total number of episodes
of Canada's cheekiest soap to a whopping 104. The new episodes are being shot
in HD and are scheduled to air on Showcase in Spring 2008.
Produced by Breakthrough Films & Television (Kenny vs. Spenny, Little
Miracles) in association with Showcase, the series cast includes Dixie Seatle,
who returns to her Gemini Award-winning role as transsexual bar owner Bea
Sutton, and Art Hindle (Jag, ENG, Dallas, Porky's). Other returning cast
members nominated for Geminis for their roles in the series include Tammy
Isbell, Victoria Snow and Steve Cumyn. Also returning are such notable
Canadian talents as Salvatore Antonio, Cameron Graham, Michelle Latimer, Kim
Poirier, Chantal Quesnelle and Kim Schraner.
New to the cast are Steve Belford (Degrassi: The Next Generation, Radio
Free Roscoe), Meredith McGeachie (The L Word, Stargate: Atlantis), Patrick
Garrow (ReGenesis, This is Wonderland), Mark Humphrey (ENG, The Wives He
Forgot), Amanda Brugel (Naked Josh, This is Wonderland), Kerry Lai Fatt
(Metropia, Falcon Beach), Stephen Huszar (Corner Gas, Shock to the System).
Plus, we introduce newcomer Wesley Morgan.
Paradise Falls was created by Producer/Writer Paula J. Smith, Executive
Story Editor-Writer Alex Galatis and Executive Producers Ira Levy and Peter
Williamson of Breakthrough Films & Television. Talented series directors
include: David Warry-Smith (Til Death Do Us Part, Beggars and Choosers), Scott

Years, Beverly Hills 90210) and actor/director Art Hindle. Emerging directors
Shane Belcourt and Nadine Schwartz will be afforded the opportunity to shadow

Daytime versions of Paradise Falls' previous seasons are currently airing
at 11am and 11:30am ET/PT on Showcase.
