Camcor Raises $200 Million in Oil Sands Private Equity Fund

    CALGARY, April 16 /CNW/ - Camcor Partners Inc. ("Camcor") is pleased to
announce that it has closed a $200 million private equity fund - The Camcor
Oil Sands Opportunities Fund. The mandate of the fund is to invest primarily
in private companies involved in oil sands-related businesses including
exploration and production, upgrading, service and supply, infrastructure,
technology and environmental services. The fund is seeking investee companies
led by proven management teams which require capital to fund start-up or
expansion opportunities.
    The Camcor Oil Sands Opportunities Fund is comprised of private equity
investors from Canada and the U.S and include Kayne Anderson Energy Fund III
as the lead investor.
