Calgary Counselling Centre cancels news conference

CALGARY, Dec. 20 /CNW/ - The news conference planned for today at
10:30 am has been cancelled for the following reason:
Calgary Counselling Centre, the Landlord and the Property Manager have
agreed to a solution that will keep Calgary Counselling Centre operating at
its current location through the holiday season and into January, 2008.
The issues about which there is disagreement will be the subject of
future discussions between the parties. If those issues cannot be resolved to
the satisfaction of all concerned, the parties have agreed to take certain
steps that will allow Calgary Counselling Centre to continue operating until
an independent decision maker (potentially the Courts) determines the
respective rights and obligations of the parties.
Calgary Counselling Centre notes its appreciation that the Landlord and
the Property Manager's agreement to resolve the disputed issues in a fashion
that will allow the Calgary Counselling Centre to provide continuity of
service, especially at a time of year when its counselling services are
desperately needed.
Robbie Babins-Wagner, CEO of the Calgary Counselling Centre, takes this
opportunity to thank Calgary's media for its interest in this matter and its
continued support of the role it plays in the community.

Calgary Counselling Centre is a registered charitable organization, and
the leading research and knowledge-based counselling facility in Canada. Since
1962, the Centre has been committed to providing compassionate, professional
