CAAC Successfully qualifies CAFUC'S CJ1 business jet simulators manufactured by Mechtronix

Mechtronix fulfills mandate for building its first full flight simulators
    for a business jet

HONG KONG, Sept. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Asian Aerospace - The Civil Aviation
Flight University of China (CAFUC) successfully concluded their On-Site
Acceptance (OSA) and Unit Qualification for two CJ1 FFS X(TM) Zero Flight
Time(TM) (ZFT(TM)) at their facility in Guanghan City, Sichuan, China. The
evaluation of the two units was conducted by the Civil Aviation Administration
of China (CAAC). The two Cessna Citation CJ1's simulators are now CAAC
qualified as Level C as per FAA AC 120-40C and this is Mechtronix's first
"Business Aviation FFS" full motion platform. CAFUC's use of over twenty MSI
manufactured trainers throughout their training footprints is a demonstration
of MSI's unique value; the support of all levels of pilot provisioning
training, from basic flying to type rating and line entry.
CAFUC is the largest university for advanced civil aviation education in
China and Asia and is aligned closely with the Civil Aviation Authority of
China (CAAC) and its stringent criteria for pilot training. Its pilot training
accounts for more than 90% of China's civil aviation pilots in China. "We are
very happy of the business relationship we have built with Mechtronix, as we
have consistently experienced the high fidelity of the FFS X(TM) combined with
ease of use, reliability and low cost of operations", said CAFUC's President
Mr. Xiaoyong Zheng.
These two CAAC approved Cessna Citation CJ1 simulators shall be used for
AB Initio Transition Training, that being the phase of training when cadets
are moving from piston to jet powered aircraft. This type of training is
mandatory for an ATPL under CAAC regulations and it consists of 20 hours in a
twin jet or turboprop, with up to 10 hours in a simulator qualified level C or
"We are very pleased and thankful with the continued business
relationship we have established with CAFUC," said Mr. Xavier Hervé, President
of Mechtronix. "It goes without saying that our partner in China, Pacific
China Aero Technology Ltd., is one of the pillars of the CAFUC-MSI
relationship and we are thankful for their continued efforts with MSI
throughout China ."
"CAFUC's appreciation of the Mechtronix FFS X(TM) and their long term
partnership is of great value to us. Mechtronix is appreciative and thankful
for CAFUC's loyalty," concluded Mr. Xavier Hervé, President of Mechtronix.
