DOLLARD-DES-ORMEAUX, QC, Sept. 12 /CNW Telbec/ - Brother International
Corporation (Canada) Ltd today continued to reinforce its position as one of
the leaders in providing laser printing solutions to the home office, as well
as small and medium-sized business markets with the introduction of its new
colour laser printer and multi-function centre line-up. At print speeds of up
to 21 pages per minute in both colour and monochrome and with a starting price
of $499.99 Can(*), these machines set a new standard for performance,
compactness as well as print quality, and certainly provide the best value for
the investment. The series include three (3) new network ready colour laser
printer models (HL-4040CN, HL-4050CDN and HL-4070CDW) and one
(1) multi-function unit (MFC-9440CN).
With a focus on quickly delivering brilliant colour laser printing for
desktops and small offices, this new line-up of printers and multi-function

single pass technology so as to provide this best-in-class output speed of
21 ppm. This innovative technology simply requires paper to be passed across

enables users to produce colourful, high resolution 2400 x 600 dpi output that
results in razor sharp text and brilliant colour quality for consistently
Moreover, each machine has built-in Ethernet network connectivity
standard, in addition to their Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface. They also offer
PCL6 emulation, as well as a USB Direct Interface that allows compatibility
with both PictBridge and USB Flash Memory Drives. The line-up also uses an
easy access front loading system for all consumables, plus the user has the
option of choosing "standard" or "high yield" toners.
"Being a major player in the monochrome laser printing market in Canada,
and given the current market trends, our colour laser line expansion is
appropriately timed to serve the expanding colour laser printing market,"
states Brian Caldwell, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Brother Canada.
"These newly developed single pass colour laser machines clearly demonstrate
