British High Commissioner to be Patron of Cathedral Concert

    OTTAWA, Sept. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Cathedral Arts today announced that His
Excellency Anthony Cary, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom and Mrs.
Cary will be the Distinguished Patrons of the concert being presented on
Friday, October 3rd by Cantabile, the London Quartet to open the Cathedral
Arts 2008-2009 Season at Christ Church Cathedral.
    This male a capella group, considered to be "one of the finest vocal
groups in Europe", is composed of three tenors and a baritone. The members are
revered singers, recording artists, world travellers and engaging wits.
    Cantabile has presented more than 2,500 performances around the world,
including concerts at New York's Carnegie Hall and classical parodies at
London's BBC "Proms in the Park". The quartet consistently delights audiences
with its amazing range of programmes from Jazz to Madrigals, from Beatles to
Broadway, also paying tribute to some great vocal groups of the past - all
presented with a unique blend of British humor and musical virtuosity!
