$25,000 raised for The William Osler Health System Foundation and Brampton Civic Hospital

BRAMPTON, ON, April 21 /CNW Telbec/ - On Wednesday, April 20, 2011, Bramalea City Centre (BCC) hosted a celebration of its expansion and raised $25,000 for the William Osler Health System Foundation in support of Brampton Civic Hospital, with Canada's most notable talent. The Grand Opening, introducing its new stores and new look, was hosted by Entertainment Tonight Canada's Rick Campanelli and featured special performances by Canadian pop artist, Danny Fernandes and Brampton's very own Princess of Pop and Juno Award winner, Keshia Chanté.

"After having invested over $180 million toward our redevelopment, we are excited to have officially unveiled our new look," states Donna Rosati, Marketing Director of BCC. "It was amazing to see the community come together to give back and to celebrate with Canada's top talent!"

The event saw over 50 participating retailers provide the guests with one-night only discounts and special offers. Morguard Investments Limited, on behalf of its investor clients, went to great lengths in renovating and expanding this local landmark. Highlights of the redevelopment included: 780 new parking stalls in a five level parkade; 550 new underground parking stalls with direct access to the mall; six new pad buildings located at the corner of Dixie Road and Queen Street; new architectural monument located at the northwest corner of the property; an additional Guest Services location; two new additional washrooms on the ground level; and a new freestanding FreshCo.
