Boralex Power Income Fund clarifies its distributions

    MONTREAL, Sept. 12 /CNW Telbec/ - Following the decision of Boralex Power
Income Fund (the "Funds") to temporarily halt or slow down its activities at
its wood-residue thermal power stations at Senneterre and Dolbeau, the Fund
wishes to clarify that this decision does not change the current rate of its
distributions which has been established at $0.70 per unit per annum. This
will permit the Fund to conserve or replenish its wood supply in order to
maximize its revenues during the peak power period between December and March.
    "The difficulties which the sawmill industry in Quebec is currently
experiencing and the potential repercussions on our supplies and our liquidity
were taken into consideration back in February 2008 when it was decided to
reduce distributions at that time and the Fund currently has sufficient
reserves to maintain its distributions. Nonetheless, we are following the
situation very closely in order to minimise, to the extent possible, the
announced shutdowns and we continue to employ our personnel at these plants",
explained Claude Boivin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Boralex Power

situation at the time that it issues its results for the third quarter of

indirectly owns ten power generating stations located in the province of
Québec and in the United States, producing energy from different sources
including wood-residue or natural gas-fired thermal and cogenerating
