BMO Banks on Growth in Red Deer with Opening of New $1.6 Million Bank Branch

    Customers eligible for $100 cash deposit when they open new account

    RED DEER, AB, Sept. 2 /CNW/ - BMO Bank of Montreal today opened a new
5,000 square foot personal and commercial banking branch in North Red Deer to
service this rapidly expanding residential and commercial area of the city.
    The new BMO branch, located at 6130 - 67th Street, in the 67th Street
Plaza, is easily accessible by car, just east of Taylor Drive and west of
Gaetz Avenue.
    Branch Manager Sally Inkster will lead a team of 15 personal banking and
investment professionals who will serve customers six days a week, including
on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    "We are committed to providing every one of our customers with the best
banking experience," said Mrs. Inkster. "To highlight that commitment we are
offering a $100 cash deposit to all new customers who open a new chequing
account between September 2 and October 11 and make an automatic pay deposit
or bill payment to that account by January 11, 2009."

    Customers can expect:

    -   A highly experienced team of in-house experts including personal and
        commercial banking managers, financial services representatives, a
        financial planner, and a BMO Nesbitt Burns investment advisor;
    -   Access to commercial account and deposit services;
    -   Three Instabank automated banking machines (ABM), including a
        drive-thru ABM;
    -   Ample free parking for BMO customers; and
    -   Full wheelchair accessibility.

wherever they make purchases using their BMO Bank of Montreal debit card,"

    BMO also announced that the new $1.6 million branch will receive its
electricity from Bullfrog Power, which provides homes and businesses in
Ontario and Alberta with electricity generated from clean, renewable sources
like wind power and low-impact hydro. BMO has purchased 5,000 Megawatt Hours
per year of clean, emission-free electricity from Bullfrog Power.

    The hours of operation at the 67th Street branch are:

    -   9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Wednesday;
    -   9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursdays;
    -   9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Fridays; and
    -   9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturdays.

    The branch will hold a grand opening ceremony on Saturday, September 13,
