TORONTO, Sept. 2 /CNW/ - The Board of Trustees of Bird Construction
Income Fund announces that Mr. Paul A. Charette is retiring from his position
as Chief Executive Officer of Bird Construction Company Limited ("Company"), a
wholly-owned subsidiary of the Fund and the Fund's Administrator. Mr. Charette
will continue on in his capacity as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Bird
Construction Income Fund and Chair of the Board of Directors of Bird
Construction Company Limited.
Mr. Paul R. Raboud, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company
will succeed Mr. Charette as President and Chief Executive Officer of the
Company, effective September 2, 2008. Mr. Raboud has been with the Company for
24 years in a variety of operational and executive positions. Mr. Raboud has
also been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Bird Construction Income Fund
and the Board of Directors of Bird Construction Company Limited.
The directors and employees of Bird Construction wish to thank Mr.
Charette for his unwavering commitment, leadership and significant
contribution to the success of Bird Construction over a career that has
spanned 32 years. Director and Chair of the Personnel Committee, Mr. Urban
Joseph, said that "Paul has led Bird through 20 years of continuous

to shape the Company".
Mr. Charette has been very active in construction industry organizations
and is currently serving as the Chair of the Canadian Construction
Association. He is also a Director of The Junior Achievement of Canada
