Strong B-Class, C-Class, S-Class, M-Class and smart fortwo sales
contributed to May's strong finish. Total Mercedes-Benz passenger car sales

year-to-date basis, bringing the total to 5,039 units for the first five

GL-Class continued to show steady growth with a combined 20.9% increase over

Marcus Breitschwerdt, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada said,
"Our complete model line performed very well again this month: our B-Class
sales were up by 52% while the E-Class pulled ahead by 114%. We are also very
proud to report that close to 40% of our May sales were diesel-propelled. Our
extensive environmentally friendly diesel portfolio continues to sell at a
very brisk rate which confirms that the Canadian consumer is indeed motivated
to embrace clean diesel technology and everything it stands for."
